PE Kit:

All children must have plimsolls, black shorts and white T-shirt for games, which should be in school every day. Trainers are NOT allowed except for games and playtime. From October half term until Easter, KS 2 pupils may wear plain black jogging bottoms for outdoor games only.

Pupils in Key Stage 2 will require a swimming kit: proper swimming trunks for boys (shorts/Bermudas are not allowed) and a one-piece costume for girls, preferably with a swimming cap as hair takes a long time to dry.
All items of uniform should be clearly marked with the child's name.
Red school ties may be purchased from the main school office, (ties with elastic are for KS 1 pupils only); all other items may be purchased from local retailers.

Jewellery:

The only jewellery allowed in school: One pair of small earrings for girls and a watch. These must be removed for any Physical Education, including swimming. Responsibility for the removal of these items remains with the child, not the teacher. Parents are strongly advised to remove earrings from children before they come to school on P.E. and Swimming days. The wearing of nail polish or make up is not permitted.

Hairstyles:

Hairstyles are expected to be of a reasonable style. Tramlines, zig zags, and other symbols shaved into the head are NOT permitted. All hair accessories for girls must take into account the requirement of the Physical Education lesson. Artificially coloured hair is not permitted. All long hair should be tied back and no hairstyle should impede the vision of a child.

You may purchase a book-bag for your child to carry reading books and homework to and from school. A pump-bag should be provided for PE Kit.

Children should not bring to school any item which they do not need for their education; the school will not accept responsibility for such items should they get lost or broken.
